willow254 ::: Favorites 2007-05-26 11:11:37 Pretty cool! Now it's such a hard choice...Hedgehog or a Sugar Glider. Now i'm thinking about Sugar Glider because they live so much longer. They are both so cool! How long did it take them to bond with your scent? __________________________________________________
rcems629 ::: Favorites 2007-05-26 18:57:49 Bonding time depends on each individual Sugar Glider. They all have their own unique personalities. It took me about 3 months and that was spending about 6 + hours every single day with them in a Jr. Dome tent in front of the TV. __________________________________________________
willow254 ::: Favorites 2007-05-26 19:09:26 ok cool __________________________________________________
MormonGirlProduction ::: Favorites 2007-05-31 18:28:45 WOW this was really informative! I am picking up my pair of suggies from the airport tomorrow and I simply am SO excited! Good job with this vid! ^^ __________________________________________________
jonny3660 ::: Favorites 2007-05-31 20:09:04 Im looking to buy one but i have no idea where to find one. Im looking for a breeder but they are hard to find __________________________________________________
rcems629 ::: Favorites 2007-05-31 20:19:34 You should never just get ONE! Get at least 2 google Glider Central or some place like that and go to their forum section and ask if anyone there knows anyone or place close to wherever you are. Research and research some more DO NOT IMPULSE BUY ONE!!!!! __________________________________________________
rcems629 ::: Favorites 2007-05-31 20:24:39 Even better call your local vet that you know that is closest to you that will take care of YOUR Sugar Glider'S and ask them. Please research all this first. There isn't a reason for you not to research first they are not the pet for everyone and they are a 10 to 15 year commitment. They have needs you should research. If you had researched enough already then why are you looking to buy JUST ONE? __________________________________________________
julychu07 ::: Favorites 2007-06-06 10:55:54 It'll be ok to buy one, as long as you did your researches about them and you swear you will be responsible in taking time your time to play and interact with your single glider. Even if you are tired, go talk, play (with feather teasers of course! they're fave!) with him/her whenever he's awake. __________________________________________________
Bhoay ::: Favorites 2007-06-09 12:23:26 What all did you do while you were in the tent? Because I have one of those little popup tents. Do you take toys and stuff in? What do you do when they start to bite horribly upon your skin? You have such an informative video~! __________________________________________________
rcems629 ::: Favorites 2007-06-09 16:51:46 Licky treats like people food yogurt of corse I have to help them eat it too. Apple sauce, feathers are awesome and if you have a dollar general store or some place like that Dream Catchers that a $1.00 each make awesome toys and barrel of monkeys and those little green army men ( I may be telling my age but ) the ones I use to set up and shoot with my bb gun. Ropes but never ropes unattended. Be creative think of ways to play with them. And NEVER GO IN THERE BARE FOOTED at least wear socks. __________________________________________________
StrawKatt ::: Favorites 2007-06-09 20:52:39 you brought them in a restaraunt? wow.. how many let suggies in anway? bet not much.. thats crazy cool __________________________________________________
inuyashaschick89 ::: Favorites 2007-06-10 13:42:18 i would love to have 2 of them plus i dont think there as hard to take care of then a baby tree squarril __________________________________________________
rcems629 ::: Favorites 2007-06-10 13:56:41 Sugar Gliders if bonded to you are much more social then Squirrels. They are much more social in the wild too and are known to live in large colony's of more then 20 Sugar Gliders in a single colony. Sugar Gliders should be much more demanding of your personal attention and affection then Squirrels. __________________________________________________
Bhoay ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 11:08:39 Ooh~! What if my tent is too big for our living room? Will bathroom time work? Because my bathroom is actually smaller than what my tent is. Would this work as long as it is glider proofed? :) Thanks a bundle for the help~! __________________________________________________
robbjmc ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 17:30:05 You can glider proof your bathroom (the most important thing is never leave them alone in there and never leave standing water/toilet open). However, a small pup tent is better because it makes YOU the only piece of furniture worth jumping on. They will want to be on you rather than on the shower curtain or mirror...which is the point of bonding. Pup tents are cheap at Target or on ebay! :) __________________________________________________ |
