Description: Ahead of Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD) 2006, and to celebrate the arrival of South Africa's first Gripen new generation fighter, we have produced a brand new video featuring air-to-air footage of Gripen (SA01) flying in and around the Southern Cape, South Africa in August 2006. Filmed by renowned South African aviation photographer Frans Dely, and with a specially composed soundtrack by South African composer Ron Brettel, of Mathambo Music, this new video provides a glimpse of what young future South African pilots can look forward to with the arrival of Gripen. |

Sonko142 ::: Favorites 2007-12-26 02:15:11 så många tanks kan man inte produsera per dag tror jag lol __________________________________________________
scholion ::: Favorites 2007-12-23 05:39:56 Sweden has all of the technological know how needed to construct a decent tank. Sweden is more or less an industrial super power. Of course, Sweden's GDP is much smaller than that of USA, Germany or Japan, but Sweden has an overabudance of world leading companies, unique competence and plenty of natural resources. If we could develop planes like JAS, stealth submarines and so on, we could develop tanks as well. __________________________________________________
jimmyn89 ::: Favorites 2007-12-22 06:18:39 and what tanks are we supposed to produce? We can't build foreign tanks without getting a license to do so, and the USA would be able to persuade pretty much any company in the world not to sell us licenses. And developing an entirely new tank takes years, besides you greatly overestimate our industrial capacity. It took Germany around 3 years to complete the first batch of 380 Leopard 2. __________________________________________________
Red0100 ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 11:03:34 You are a sad person if you hope such a thing for millions of people just because a guy you don't even know (me) write something you don't like. __________________________________________________
scholion ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 21:44:26 One day perhaps. Today, the Nordic citizens enjoy a state of effortlessness. What we produce we can sell off at high prices, what we wish to protect, we can safeguard with little effort. But this Scandinavian success is hardly eternal, is it? I claim it is. Vikings don't do siestas. We owe something to eternity and eternity owes us. __________________________________________________
mrjfin ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 18:04:03 china or india will run u down with their populated labor force they could make millions tanks everyday and btw who needs anythings else in modern time than nukes and CMWs __________________________________________________
mrjfin ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 17:59:48 I hope whole nordic race will wipe out from exist like did dinosaurus __________________________________________________
Max8Jizzy ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 19:25:16 If the U.N. had balls, yes ASAP. __________________________________________________
easterneurotrash ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 11:02:16 Bullshit! They need to send them to bomb ANC headquarters, stupid! __________________________________________________
easterneurotrash ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 18:27:35 So which neighborhoods are gonna be bombed by these planes? ..Black, or white? ...In both cases, you need these planes only in ground attack configurations! __________________________________________________
scholion ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 13:15:14 Sweden would probably beat the USA or Russia in an conventional, all out military confrontation. Our air force isn't superior to theirs. JAS is good, but possession of this weapon won't settle the issue. However, Sweden could easily produce 1500 tanks a day. Maybe even 2000. The minute the Volvo Torslanda plant begins to spew out tanks is when then war ends. __________________________________________________
Red0100 ::: Favorites 2007-12-09 15:03:52 well, national army is one thing. Developing war technology for huge profit is another :) __________________________________________________
sloshmold ::: Favorites 2007-12-08 20:58:20 some of the worlds best pilots come from SA good on ya all!!!! __________________________________________________
darkariiq ::: Favorites 2007-12-04 17:01:33 SA is hardly in any wars, when was the last time we were in a war? The 80's border war in Angola? lol We need to invest R&D in industrial technology, not military. maybe we should have a nuclear warheads ( i know we used to have) __________________________________________________
hogge87 ::: Favorites 2007-12-04 13:13:52 It's sad whats happening to the Swedish defence politics... We have 3% of what we had during the cold war, and people are talking if this could be the last generation of Swedish fighters... I sure hope not. __________________________________________________ |
