Mitt Romney's campaign only had 35 percent more cash than Ron Paul after subtracting debts on 6/30/2007. ($3,176,525 / $2,354,855 = 1.349) There are 1461 days in a 4-year Presidential term. If you donate a penny for each day that would be $14.61. A nickel for each day would be $73.05. A dime for each day would be $146.10. A quarter for each day would be $365.25. Most 20th century Presidents were in for two terms. Your investment in the Ron Paul campaign could last a long time.

What you said is so logical, so obvious. But when I found out that there was no law that most Americans were required to pay a federal income tax it took me a week before I even thought to check if us Canadians needed to pay our own. It turns out we don't. Not only that, but technically Canada might not even be a Federal Union as we think it is since we never drafted or ratified a constitution, nor did we ever establish a federal government.

Say you buy a stock for $50 and sell it 2 weeks later for $50. No profit, therefore no taxes owed. Now produce and give 2 weeks of labor to a company. Your paycheck will reflect the market value of your labor. Therefore, you made no profit. You are taxes as though your labor is worthless and any wages are 100% profit! In other words, you are a slave.
