Description:

This in-depth video service aid depicts relubrication of the kicker and sled on the traverse assembly, cleaning of the disc spindle components, and cleaning of fixed and objective lenses in the optical pickup. This service aid also covers the "stuck drawer" problem that is common on the Samsung SDG-605 series DVD-ROM drive. This can help to address disc read errors due to dirt and dust contamination. This is part two of a two-part video to accommodate the ten minute limit on YouTube.

No prob. Please do say how it goes. I won't guarantee that it will fix it, but at least it's worth a shot.

Well, to just clean the fixed lens and objective lens, you should be able to do remove the cover (carefully, of course) and just clean in the manner depicted without removing the pickup itself.
