Description:

Only 'one of its kind' song from hindi movies where lyric and music are synchronized :) You need genius like Gulzar and Pancham to conceptualize such a marvel, and Kishore and Asha to materialize it...

copying or no copying criticism in this case is unwarranted -- P.S:Were u trying to be sarcastic? I never realized.

I think the original point was the western world owns the rights to the seven notes - "Do re mi fa so la Ti" and all desi composers are guilty of copying them and renaming them to "sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa" for convenience. [I hope there is enough sarcasm there to go around ;-)]

I think you have a point. There is a song in Sound of music that takes the notes of the scale and makes words and sentences with it. This is basically the same thing. You are right. But the tune of this song is different.

hi sata, I would respectfully disagree with you on this song. I don't recall any song from Sound of Music sounding anything like this tune. Lyrics-wise you are right, there is one song in sound of music that starts with the notes on the scale, ..but that is not anything new. As far as the plot of the movie goes, I would not know since i've never watched this movie....but copying is nothing new in bollywood, so I wouldn't be surprised. The name 'bollywood' itself is copy

(continued)..... Are you aware that each and every music composer has copied from their western counterparts at some point or the other? Be it Naushad, Salil Choudhury, Khayyam, Madan Mohan, SD Burman, Chitragupt, Ravi, Usha Khanna....name anyone who comes to your mind...ANYONE. But if you think copying is even a wee bit easier than making a new tune, your brain is in a worse condition than I thought it was. If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person alive.

"Copied the TUNES?" There are 2 possibilities - Either you haven't heard the songs of any ONE of the 2 movies - OR you're so dumb that you sit on the TV and watch the sofa (no wonder everything seem the same to you). The tunes are in no way similar, Mr Rao. Where your "hatred" is concerned, it's evident that you hate mankind, coz you think you're one of the best of them, and you know how unbearable and intolerable you are.
